After years of partying and having sex backstage with groupies mid show, Nikki Sixx celebrates 18 years.
Featured in Netflix, "The Dirt" the film depicts the rockstar lifestyle that Mötley Crüe lived, it showed the ups and the downward spiral that addiction takes you on.
"The Dirt" is based on the 2001 autobiography with the same name about Mötley Crüe.
Heroin nearly killed Nikki Sixx in 1987 when he was clinically pronounced dead for over two minutes. He was at the Franklin Plaza Apartments in Hollywood, shooting up between drinking and snorting cocaine. He says someone saved his life that night and remembers very little about that night.
"What I've been through doesn't make me a policy expert. But it qualifies me to judge the way the United States is handling its latest addiction crisis: Opioid abuse isn't just making addicts sick, it's making America sick." Nikki Sixx says.
